Former Chelsea star Frank Leboeuf has called Chelsea FC a “disgrace” and suggested they may never win the English Premier League title again.
The Blues, who have won the championship six times, have not secured it for the past seven years.
After finishing sixth last season, Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly dismissed Mauricio Pochettino and appointed Enzo Maresca as his successor.
Maresca has been entrusted with guiding the billion-pound squad to win the silverware.
Leboeuf said: “The club can do whatever they want with their money but as a former player, I think it’s kind of a disgrace to see what we are seeing.
“The talent is there in the squad but you don’t have many leaders or players you can rely on, that’s the biggest problem Enzo Maresca has.
“It’s possible that Chelsea can win a cup, like the FA Cup this season potentially, but never the Premier League. No way.”
