Manchester United’s 4-0 victory against Everton on Sunday was marred by an injury scare for playmaker Bruno Fernandes ahead of the club’s midweek game against Arsenal.
The Portuguese midfielder had a standout day at Old Trafford, producing two assists as Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee each scored braces to secure Ruben Amorim’s first Premier League victory as United manager.
The victory moved United up to ninth place in the table, signalling a positive turn under Amorim’s leadership.
Fernandes did, however, leave the field late in the game, limping and sporting an ice pack around his ankle after being replaced by Alejandro Garnacho.
It’s difficult when you have two kids at home, but I get my rest, my naps, everything I need, because she’s there to help me,” Fernandes said.

United’s strong performance against Everton comes after a promising start to Amorim’s stay, which included a 1-1 draw with Ipswich and a 3-2 triumph over Bodo/Glimt earlier this month.
The team will now be hoping that Fernandes recovers quickly enough to continue their upward trajectory under their new management.
