Nigerian celebrities thrilled fans at the #YouthVoteCount Lagos MegaConcert political concert organised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Yiaga Africa, and the European Union held in Lagos on Saturday.
The concert attracted a mammoth crowd which thronged to the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos. The youths defied the rain to attend the star-packed event.
Themed: ‘Youth Vote Count 2.0 Mega concert’, the concert is geared towards creating awareness on civic responsibility of the youths ahead of the forthcoming 2023 general election.
Some celebrities who attended the event include Lasisi Elenu, Real Warri Pikin, Broda Shaggi, Falz, Mr Macaroni, MI Abaga, and many others.
Waje in a video shared on INEC’s Twitter page was captioned, “@OfficialWaje using her power #VOICE to entertain the mammoth youth who turned up for the ongoing #YouthVoteCount2 in Lagos.”
Omawumi also thrilled the crowd as she performed her popular hit track, “If You Ask Me”.
The Chairman of INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu; Lagos State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Olusegun Agbaje; and other members of the commission were present at the concert.
