Fans React to Claims of Plagiarism Against SA’S K.O by Ghana’s Reefer Tym

An online saga has followed Ghanaian musician Reefer Tym and South African rapper K.O after claims of plagiarism surfaced on Twitter. Fans uncovered a song titled “Feeling for You” by the Gold Coast artist Reefer Tym that has what sounds like the exact same beat as popular hit song “Sete” by SA’s K.O featuring Young stunna and blxckie.

“Feeling for You” was released in May 2022, which was about three months before K.Os release. Fans have since spotted out the similarities and called out the South African rapper.

One tweeter user said “bar for bar, the drum pattern, the sequence, everything dawg. Look at the time stamp”

Born Ntokozo Mdluli, K.O has now addressed the claim in a series of tweets.

As of today, K.Os Sete had 23m streams on YouTube alone for an established rapper. On the other side, Ghana’s Reefer Tym continues to ride the wave of the saga, as his song has now enjoyed more listeners. His song ‘Feeling for you’ is now no.3 on apple music GHANA and no. 31 in South Africa.
