While OBO himself hasn’t publicly responded to the news online, fans of both superstars have left several comments online. One big question was how much the show would cost, considering the recent hike in show tickets globally and Wizkid’s earlier statement to make shows free for Nigerians.

One mujiboy said “If e too dey expensive na to watch am for YouTube. Make legend hold themselves”. moraetue_mary said “Free!! When they go to other countries for their shows make dem pay to come watch”.

Recall that in an interview with media personality Ebuka 2 years ago, Davido opened up about reaching out to Wizkid on a joint music project and a tour but also admitted their public perceived beef made them bigger stars.

Since breaking the news, several memes and throwback duo performances from both Team 30BG and Wizkid FC have flooded the internet.

Wizkid and Davido famously shared the stage at Wizkid’s 2017 December concert where he brought Davido out as a special guest to perform ‘FIA’. Both superstars have enjoyed growth and exposure in their over a decade career in music and a joint tour will be a historic moment for Nigerian and African music.
