A major fire has broken out at Tantra Hills, near Lancaster University in Ghana, engulfing multiple houses and shops on Monday. The blaze is spreading rapidly, raising fears of further destruction.
Eyewitnesses say frantic efforts to contact the fire service have so far been unsuccessful, leaving residents and business owners in a state of panic.
“There’s a fire at Tantra Hills that is spreading like wildfire We have called all the fire service lines to no avail!!!!!”, an X user, @edi_amaa wrote, who later tweeted that the Fire Service arrived 30 minutes later with two trucks to tackle the fire.
