While addressing reporters in Kano, Sanusi Bature, Director General of Media and Publicity to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, said adequate security arrangements had been put in place to ensure smooth activities during the visit.
He said the state government, alongside the police, had drafted a compressive security network to provide the required security.
Bature said the state government and security agencies were working round the clock to provide a peaceful atmosphere for the visitors.
The government, therefore, appealed to residents to conduct themselves peacefully and come out en masse to receive the first lady.
