Kenyan Marius Kipserem leads strong African field for Rotterdam Marathon

2018 Abu Dhabi Marathon champion Marius Kipserem will be one of the runners to watch at the 39th edition of the NN Rotterdam Marathon on Sunday.

The Kenyam will compete in a strong field which include his compatriot, training mate and Buenos Aires Marathon champion Emmanuel Saina, Sydney Marathon champion Elijah Kemboi as well as Ethiopia’s Woldaregay Gezahegn Kelkile, winner of the Frankfurt Marathon.

African Table Tennis Junior and Cadet Championships begins in Accra, Ghana

A record number of entries will compete at the African Table Tennis Junior and Cadet Championships which begins this weekend at The Trust Emporium in Accra, Ghana.

Over 180 players from 20 African nations will vie for honours at the tournament which will hold from April 7 to 13 with teams jostling for places at the 2019 World Junior Championship as well as aiming to make the continent team for the World Cadet Challenge.

South African boxer Azinga Fuzile set to defend IBF title in Port Elizabeth

One of South Africa’s most promising boxers Azinga Fuzile will defend his IBF Intercontinental junior-lightweight title against Mexico’s Romulo Koasicha, at the Nongoza Jebe Hall in Port Elizabeth on Sunday.
