The Flying Eagles of Nigeria won the 2024 WAFU B U-20 Championship by defeating Ghana’s Black Satellites 2-1 in the final.

Kparobo Arierhi’s brace proved insurmountable for Ghana in the closely contested match at Stade Kegue in Lome, Togo, on Wednesday.

The victory ensured that the Eagles successfully defended the championship they won in the previous edition, held in the Niger Republic in 2022.

Nigeria defeated Niger Republic 4-1 in the semi-finals, advancing to the final and qualifying for the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

In the final, they resumed their impressive performance against the Black Satellites, with Arierhi putting them ahead after 30 minutes.

The Beyond Limit FC striker smashed a brilliant shot from the edge of the Ghanaian box.
