Flying Eagles Leave Nigeria to Togo for WAFU B U20

Nigeria's Flying Eagles, Falconets to Resume Training for African Games

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria departed for Lomé, Togo, on Tuesday to compete in the WAFU-B U20 tournament.

Led by head coach Aliyu Zubair, Technical Adviser of El-Kanemi Warriors, the team took off from Muritala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos at approximately 10:25 am.

Before their departure, the squad concluded their final preparations at the Remo Stars training complex in Ikenne, Ogun State, Nigeria. The travelling delegation includes a 20-man squad, coaching staff, support personnel, and officials from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

As the reigning champions, the Flying Eagles have been drawn into Group B, alongside Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso. Nigeria will begin their title defence on Friday, October 18, with their opening match against Burkina Faso at the Municipal Stadium in Lomé. The game is scheduled for 3 pm local time.
