The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Nigerian football veteran Augustine Jay Jay Okocha and a few others for its newly set up Ambassadors programme.
The CAF Ambassadors initiative will include additional football legends, community leaders, and other well-known figures.
Their responsibilities will encompass advocating for CAF and African football in addition to being heavily involved in various other events, like as competitions, charitable endeavors, and social and business gatherings.
Okocha and Nigeria won the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in 1994.
More names will be announced to be part of the CAF Ambassadors programme much later, reports say.
