Former Chief Justice of Sierra Leone Renner-Thomas Dies at 77 (News Central TV)

Former Chief Justice of Sierra Leone Raymond Desmond Aderemi Renner-Thomas popularly known as Dr. Ade Renner-Thomas is dead. 

The former Lecturer at Fourah Bay College born on September 7, 1945 died Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the age of 77.

The legal luminary taught law at Fourah Bay College, The University of Sierra Leone, and was a former member of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn, London. He was a member of the New York Bar, a former leading legal practitioner of the Sierra Leone Bar, and a retired Chief Justice of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

While alive, Renner-Thomas contributed immensely to research on the dual land tenure system of Sierra Leone, a study for which he was awarded a PhD by the University of London in 1983.
