Former President OF Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and his wife, Patience have cast their votes at Otuoke Unit 39, Ward 13, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa state, Southern Nigeria.
The former president restated his ‘no political ambition worth the blood of any Nigerian.’ maxim and warned politicians against vote buying.
Jonathan said the election must be conducted under a peaceful political climate because Nigeria doesn’t belong to any individual politician.
He advised that people should not cause trouble thinking that they have money to procure votes, or to cause mayhem.
He said: “Whatever office you occupy, you will leave that office, someday, the position you occupy today, should not diminish us as a human race, but rather improve us, if you mean well for us.”
He urged electorates to conduct themselves peacefully while exercising their franchise.
