The former Daytime Talk show host is married. This was revealed in a phone call to the owner of Hollywood Unlocked, Jason Lee. She also shared a few updates on her life including the exciting news about her new husband.
The 58-year-old TV host recently tied the knot and her new man’s name is Henry who is an NYPD officer. Wendy didn’t give more details on her nuptials but she was excited to finally break the news about her husband to a good friend.
This is great news for Wendy considering that she hasn’t had the best year so far. She lost her place on her Tv show due to illness and she also suffered a lot of financial stress as well.
She revealed to Jason her Amex has stopped working but her manager, William Selby other close friends have been helping her maintain access to one of her accounts. In February, Williams’s bank, Wells Fargo, froze her account as they claimed that she was an “incapacitated person” who needed a guardian.
Despite her recent battle to get access to her accounts, Wendy Williams says she’s trying to stay positive even while still dealing with the family drama as well. Wendy told Lee that she has asked her entire team to keep her family away from her with the exception of her 21-year-old son, Kevin Hunter Jr.
Wendy is no stranger to bad press; she became a hot topic herself when her long-time husband of 22 years, Kevin Hunter was revealed to have a mistress with a baby in 2019. The estranged couple finalised their divorce in 2020 and currently share custody of their son, Kevin Jr.
After 13 years of syndication, her iconic talk show “The Wendy Williams Show” ended in June 2022. She stepped down from her hosting duties as a result of ill health as she revealed that she suffered from complications from Graves disease, aggravated Thyroid condition, and Lymphoedema.
In July 2022, Wendy announced that she was moving into the Podcast world, with the launch of her own show.
The news of her latest marriage has sent fans into a frenzy as there has been a huge concern for her physical and mental health in recent months. This will be Wendy’s third marriage as she was previously married to Bert Girigorie from 1994-1995.
