Eintracht Frankfurt bolstered their bid for a top-four finish in the Bundesliga with a 3-1 victory over Bochum on Sunday.
The win strengthens their grip on fourth place, keeping them three points clear of RB Leipzig.
Kick-off was delayed by nearly an hour after Bochum fans refused to remove banners blocking an emergency exit.
Once the match got underway, Frankfurt took the lead in the 27th minute when Rasmus Kristensen capitalised on his rebound during a counter-attack.
Five minutes later, Jean-Matteo Bahoya doubled the visitors’ advantage, slotting home after an exquisite pass from Hugo Ekitike.

Bochum fought back in the second half, with Gerrit Holtmann reducing the deficit in the 73rd minute.
However, former Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi put the game beyond doubt with a stoppage-time goal—his second since joining Frankfurt in the winter transfer window.
Frankfurt have never qualified for the Champions League through league placement, though they participated in the competition in 2022–23 after winning the Europa League. They had lost their last three league matches but now have renewed momentum as they prepare to face Tottenham in the Europa League quarterfinals.
Despite the defeat, Bochum showed resilience under coach Dieter Hecking. Since taking charge in November, Hecking has helped the team recover from a disastrous start to the season, securing wins over Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
Elsewhere in the Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen can close the gap on league leaders Bayern Munich with a win at Stuttgart, while relegation-threatened Heidenheim face fellow strugglers Holstein Kiel.
