Moroccan-born mega sensation French Montana has just set a new record as the most streamed African star. Verified Media outlet AuxGod and popular blog site, the shade room carried the news over the weekend. The 38-year-old rapper has amassed more than 40 billion digital sales.
Without any doubt, the record holder born Karim Kharbouch, has several heavyweight records that have reached multi-platinum status, from “Unforgettable” featuring Swae Lee with over 1.5 Billion stream on YouTube alone, to “Pop That”, a hit collaboration with Rick Ross, Drake and Lil Wayne amongst others.
The Coke Boys Records founder was born in Morocco, where he also spent some of his early childhood years before his family’s move to the U.S. Montana started making music when he was just a teenager and released his first album in 2007 titled ” The French Connection.”
