Malam Umar Namadi, governor of Jigawa State, has given the go-ahead for the establishment of a 12-person Task Force Committee on Petroleum Monitoring and Distribution.
Hussaini Ali Kila, the state’s head of civil service, announced in Dutse that Col. Muhammad Alhassan (rtd) will lead the task force committee.
According to Kila, the committee would make sure, among other things, that petroleum products were efficiently supplied and distributed throughout the state.
Muhammad Usman Na- Allah and representatives from the Ministries of Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture are also members of the committee.
Others include representatives of the State Command, Department of State Service, Jigawa State Command of the Nigeria Army, Jigawa State of the Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps, Department of Petroleum Resources, Independent Petroleum Marketers of the state, and Directorate of Research Evaluation and Political Affairs, Office of the SSG.
The secretary of the committee shall be from the Director, Special Services, Office of the SSG.
He added that His Excellency Governor Umar A. Namadi will inaugurate the committee on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber of Government House.
