Fulani Leaders Affirm Support for President Tinubu

President Tinubu Advocates Unity Among Religious and Traditional Leaders

Fulani leaders (Ardos) in Nigeria have reiterated their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidency. They highlighted their endorsement and votes aimed at addressing their community’s challenges.
The leaders while speaking at the quarterly Fulbe United for Peace and Development, emphasised the pledges made by the president to the Fulani populace during his election campaign.

The president of the association, Ardo Aliyu Liman Bobboyi during his introductory speech highlighted that President Tinubu was bestowed with the prestigious title of Barkindo of Nigerian Ardo during the endorsement, symbolising the sealing of a significant pact of mutual respect and cooperation, known as the ‘Fulaaku covenant’.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Kabir Labar, the Ardo Abeokuta and South-West coordinator of the association, criticized the prohibition of grazing in the vicinity of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, without the provision of a viable alternative.

“It is expected of every person that wants to take over or ban to call stakeholders and discuss the way forward.
“Our business has to be somewhere and the other businesses need to be somewhere. We have all agreed to that. Let’s be considerate with ourselves and discuss the way forward. We don’t call for conflict. We are peace-loving Nigerians, and we have been contributing to the development of this country right from day one,” he said.

When questioned about the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) expressing remorse over their support for President Tinubu, Labar clarified that their group wasn’t associated with any organization expressing regret regarding the president’s election.
