Gal Gadot, an Israeli actress, has talked candidly about surviving a “massive blood clot” in her brain during her most recent pregnancy.
When Gadot received the diagnosis, she was eight months pregnant, and her fourth child was delivered before she had emergency surgery to address it, according to a post she uploaded on Instagram on Sunday, recalling the ordeal.
Gadot stated that after weeks of suffering from “excruciating headaches that confined me to bed until I finally underwent an MRI that revealed the terrifying truth,” she was finally diagnosed with the blood clot in February.
“My family and I had to face the fragility of life in a single moment. In the middle of a challenging year, all I wanted was to cling on and live, and it served as a sobering reminder of how rapidly things may change,” she wrote.
“I had emergency surgery a few hours after we hurried to the hospital. Ori, my daughter, was born in that period of anxiety and uncertainty. The name of her daughter means “my light,” and Gadot continued by telling her husband that “when our daughter arrived, she would be the light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel” before the surgery.
She applauded her medical staff at Cedars Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, stating that she “made it through” and is now on the road to recovery because of them.
The “Wonder Woman” actress stated that she wanted to share her tale to raise awareness of the significance of taking action and to inspire her fans to pay attention to their bodies.
“As we commemorate Hanukkah, a festival of light and miracles, I consider the miracle I was given personally. “My daughter Ori serves as a continual reminder of our inner strength, perseverance, and optimism,” she wrote. “I hope that everyone discovers their light, works their miracles, and keeps fighting for their own and each other’s health.”
In March, Gadot announced Ori’s birth. Gadot and her husband, Jaron Varsano, are also parents to Daniella (2021), Maya (2017), and Alma (2011). Since 2008, the pair has been wed.
