President of the Republic of Gambia, Adama Barrow has today inaugurated the headquarters of Gambia’s Embassy in Riyadh.
The inauguration was done in the presence of Minister of State for African Countries Affairs, Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan.
The ceremony was also attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Gambia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Omar Gibril Sallah and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Saudi Arabia.
Adama Barrow and his accompanying delegation were received on Sunday at the King Khalid International Airport by Riyadh Governor Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz.
Earlier, Barrow held talks with Yousef Al-Othaimeen, secretary-general of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), where he assured him that The Gambia is on track to host the next OIC summit in 2022.
The Gambian Presidency says Barrow also affirmed dedication to the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation’s commitment to combatting terrorism and extremism.
