The death toll of journalists in Gaza has reached 177 as Israel continues its invasion, following the recent killing of journalist Ayman Mohammad Ruwaished, the Government Media Office in Gaza reported.
Ruwaished, a photojournalist for Al-Aqsa TV, was killed yesterday, becoming the latest victim in a series of attacks that have targeted media professionals in the region.
The Government Media Office condemned what it described as the deliberate targeting and killing of Palestinian journalists by Israeli forces. It urged the international community, along with global journalism organisations and human rights bodies, to hold Israel accountable in international courts for its actions.
The office also called for urgent intervention to stop what it referred to as the genocide and targeted killings of Palestinian journalists.
