George Afriyie flaunts his credentials ahead of FA elections

Ghana FA presidential candidate George Afriyie has claimed he understands the politics of football better than his competitors as elections edge closer.
“You need to be confident, you need to be bold and you need to be ready for the battle. Nobody points the left hand to his father’s hometown,” he told journalists in Sunyani.
“I understand football politics than many of the people who have expressed interest in contesting for the position.”
The former FA Vice President is seeking to succeed former boss Kwesi Nyantakyi who was forced out of office following a corruption scandal.
Afriye is one of 10 candidates that have expressed interest in becoming the next Ghana FA boss.
