The Police in Ghana have apprehended a woman suspected to be mentally challenged, on the allegation that she killed a young man at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra.
A viral video shared by United Television on social media indicate security agents leading her into a police patrol car.
The footage showed the unkempt woman being arrested by an Officer from the Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD) and two other persons in reflective vests before the full glare of a crowd.
The woman was seen crying after the arrest. Information gathered showed that the alleged mentally unstable woman began by firing stones at vehicles that were passing.
On Monday, August 1, 2022, a young man – now deceased, chased after her, she turned and grabbed him, before passers-by could intervene, the woman had overpowered the man and smashed his head with a brick, it is reported.
