Two award-winning Ghanaian movies from Peter Sedufia, ‘Keteke’ and ‘Sidechic Gang’ are both set to start showing on Netflix from Friday, January 31.
The popular filmmaker and director Peter Sedufia announced this on his Instagram page yesterday. “In 3 days, you can check us out on Netflix at your own convenience. Home Cinema just got fun!” he shared.
Released in 2017, ‘Keteke’, tells the story of an expectant couple who misses a train into the city for the delivery of their first child. The movie features a cast of Fred Nii Amugi, Adjetey Anang, Lydia Forson, Clemento Suarez and others.
It was recently nominated for the 26th edition of Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO) in Burkina Faso.
‘SideChic Gang’ was released to good reviews in 2018. It follows the story of three young ladies who earn their keep by exposing promiscuous boyfriends and husbands.
The movie features Nana Ama McBrown, Lydia Forson, Sika Osei, Adjetey Anang, Bernard Nyarko, Eddie Kufour and Akofa Edjeane.
“Of course, I was happy when the deal was sealed. I’m not the first person nor first Ghanaian to have his film on Netflix, but as a content creator, it is always the hope of having my content seen by as many people as the whole world.
“So, yes, I was happy about the move, especially, as Netflix is a big platform for film lovers.” An excited Peter Sedufia told Pulse GH.
