Ghanaian Highlife singer Kofi B is dead

The award-winning singer is known for records such as ‘Mmbrowa’, ‘Bantama Kofi Boakye’. and ‘Koforidua Flowers’.

Ghanaian highlife musician Kofi Boakye Yiadom, popularly known as Kofi B has reportedly passed away on Sunday, February 2.

The singer is said to have died from a heart attack right after performing live at a concert in Cape Coast.

According to reports, the singer started complaining of chest pains and an unusual heartbeat rate and was rushed to the hospital. A doctor at the hospital where he was taken says Kofi was sweating and vomiting when he was rushed in.

He was noted to have a very high body temperature and an unusual blood pressure and was immediately put on oxygen since he had difficulty breathing. Kofi B was later pronounced dead at 3 am on Sunday.

According to the doctor, his body has been transported to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for storage and autopsy.
