On Friday night, football’s best came together to celebrate greatness in all aspects of the game at the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards, which illuminated Dubai.
The awards, which were first given out in 2010, have grown to be one of the most prominent yearly occasions in international football, honouring the accomplishments of players, coaches, teams, and agents nationwide.
The awards, which are held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, bring together the top football stars and provide recognition that goes beyond more conventional honours like the Ballon d’Or.
The event, which is well-known for celebrating greatness at all levels, from up-and-coming talent to career achievements, connects European dominance with expanding football markets in the Middle East.
Highlighting the sport’s changing landscape and the stars influencing its future, the 2024 edition celebrated the event’s 15th anniversary.
With wins for Best Player and Best Forward of the Year, Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr. stole the show.
“It’s difficult to get here. I’ve sacrificed a lot to pursue my goals, and my major objective is to make my loved ones proud.
“Getting such a significant honour completes a fantastic year for me. I’m on the right route, as evidenced by my five Real Madrid titles and this individual distinction from Globe Soccer.
“For enabling me to play football, I would like to thank Real Madrid, Flamengo, and the Brazilian national team.” And to all of my teammates, of course,” Vinicius Jr. said.
Lamine Yamal, a young star for Barcelona, won the Best Emerging Player title, while Cristiano Ronaldo contributed to his lengthy career by collecting the Best Middle East Player award.
Real Madrid’s mastermind Carlo Ancelotti won Best Coach, and Jorge Mendes won Best Agent once more, solidifying his place among the best in sports.
