‘Go to Jail or Leave Kenya’; President Ruto Tells Corrupt Persons

Kenya; Ruto Gives Corrupt 3 Choices - Jail, Leave, or Face Consequences (News Central TV)

President William Ruto has stated that his determination to fight corruption in the country is unbreakable. He stated that Kenya had suffered greatly as a result of corruption and that it needed to be eradicated “once and for all.”

“The corrupt, the thieves, the people who steal our children’s future,” he declared, “must leave Kenya or go to jail, or they have the option of going to heaven.”

“And it is not a threat; it is the truth, it is an option, and I am not threatening anyone; it is what we will do,” he declared.

He warned those who use politics and the courts to shield thieves that their time has come.

He spoke on Wednesday at the Kakamega State Lodge during a consultative meeting with Western Kenya leaders led by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula.

In addition to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha, other attendees included Governors Fernandes Barasa (Kakamega), Paul Otuoma (Busia), Wilber Ottichilo (Vihiga), and Ken Lusaka (Bungoma), as well as UDA Secretary-General Cleophas Malala and COTU Secretary-General Francje Atwoli.

The President further clarified that this is a call to action rather than a threat.

He expressed his shock at how anyone in Kenya could defend corruption in the nation during the meeting.

“We cannot afford to support what has caused Kenya to regress.”

He warned the opposition not to waste time defending criminals.

The President insisted that it was time for Kenya to take the initiative in showing decency.

He vowed to confront cartels in the sugar industry, which is plagued by them.

We are spending a lot of money importing sugar, so we will organise the entire sugar sector, he said.

The government, he claimed, would revive the sector “so that we can produce locally and help drive our economy.”

He suggested building additional sugarcane mills to help the existing ones in their production.

President Ruto has meanwhile urged authorities to cooperate in transforming Kenya.

He declared that he was eager to unite political figures with various viewpoints and backgrounds in order to build the nation.

He pointed out that the union will support the expansion of the economy and the Kenya Kwanza Plan.

According to Gachagua, Kenya is headed towards recovery and expansion.

Gachagua declared, “We will collaborate with all leaders to transform Kenyans’ lives.

Mudavadi asked the region to rally behind the Government.

He declared, “This is where our future is.”

Attending governors and members of parliament vowed to support the governor.

They asserted that they were all duly elected, just like the President, and that they would cooperate to change Kenya.

The Kakamega County Aggregation and Industrial Park was later opened by the president in Likuyani.

He also officially opened the Kenya Medical Training College Navakholo Campus, where he laid its foundation stone in July 2018.
