The Federal Competition and Consumers Protection Commission (FCCPC) has sealed off the popular Sahad Stores Limited, a popular supermarket located in Area 11, Garki, Abuja.
Sahad Stores was shut down over alleged hoarding, extortion, lack of transparency, and inflated prices.
The supermarket’s management was accused of shortchanging customers by charging prices that differed from those displayed on the shelves.
The development happened twenty-four hours after President Bola Tinubu revealed efforts to combat elements responsible for food scarcity.
FCCPC Acting Executive Vice Chairman, Adamu Ahmed Abdullahi, led the operation, on Friday.
