Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, is set to travel to the United States of America for a medical appointment on Friday, January 12, 2024. This decision follows the recent Supreme Court ruling on the Governorship poll in the state.
Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Executive Governor, Plateau State, Gyang Bere, stated that Governor Mutfwang has officially transferred power to his deputy, Ngo Josephine Piyo. Deputy Governor Piyo will serve as the acting Governor until Mutfwang’s return from the trip.
The Apex court affirmed the victory of Caleb Muftwang as Plateau State Governor.
The Supreme Court dismissed the petition of Nentawe Yilwada of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Governor Mutfwang commended the verdict and expressed gratitude to the peace-loving people of Plateau for their unwavering support and prayers.
