Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has given assurance that the teenager who was killed by a soldier in the Samaru area of Zaria in Kaduna State will receive justice.
The deceased, Ismail Mohammed, was fatally shot on Tuesday as Nigerian Army troops tried to disperse hoodlums during a nationwide protest in Samaru.
Through his Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who headed a high-level delegation comprising senior government officials and security agency leaders to offer condolences to the teenager’s family, Governor Sani conveyed profound sorrow regarding the regrettable event and guaranteed that every effort would be made to ensure justice.
The governor stressed that a thorough inquiry will be conducted and the person responsible will be held responsible.
