South African singer and songwriter Tyla Laura Seethal, known professionally as Tyla has clinched her first Grammy award for Best African Music Performance with the song “Water”.
The 22-year-old music sensation whizzed past fellow nominees Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, and Ayra Starr to secure the inaugural award category.
Tyla’s “Water” was released in 2023, and topped music charts across the world, including the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
