The Suleja axis of the Abuja-Kaduna highway in Niger State has been blocked by protesters, resulting in a massive gridlock that has left commuters stranded for hours.
The traffic jam was so severe that it stretched for several kilometers, starting at Aluminum Village and reaching the Zuma military barracks.
While outnumbered by protesters, police officers stood by at a distance, monitoring the situation and working to restore order.
