Gunmen on Motorbikes have killed four police officers guarding a tomato-processing factory in Kebbi State, North-West Nigeria.
A civilian was also killed in the attack in the north-western state of Kebbi.
The Kebbi State Police PRO told newsmen that the assailants wanted to kidnap foreign nationals working at the tomato-processing plant, however, they were evacuated safely.
Recall that Last week, 19 security personnel, including soldiers and policemen, as well as more than 60 vigilantes were killed in Kebbi State.
Three police officers and four vigilantes were killed in the village of Nasko in the neighbouring state of Niger on Tuesday.
Thousands of people have been forced to evacuate their homes as a result of these attacks, with some crossing the border into Niger.
