The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported on Wednesday that its official website has been compromised, according to a statement via its X handle.
“We would like to inform the public that the NBS Website has been compromised, and we are working to restore it. Please ignore any messages or reports posted until the website is fully functional again.” the NBS said.
The NBS stated that it is in the process of restoring the website and advised the public to ignore any messages or information published on the site until it is completely operational again.
The NBS website hack is the latest episode of security breaches that have plagued Nigerian ministries and agencies in 2024.
