Prof Ishaq Oloyede, the Chief Executive of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) said over N10 million which was set aside as allowance for the ad hoc staff was diverted.
Oloyede explained that the hackers gained access using “Keylogger”, a monitoring software designed to record keystrokes made by a user.
The board uncovered the fraud after careful investigation leading to the arrest of a suspected hacker, Sahabi Zubairu from Takum in Taraba state, among several others.
Zubairu has admitted to luring at least 12 people into the crime, some of whom are his family members.
Oloyede assures that the stolen money will be recovered.
