Atlas Lions of Morocco coach, Herve Renard says he will consider his future after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
This comes after the Federation Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF) sacked Technical Director Nasser Larguet, then held a meeting with Renard’s assistants, Mustapha Hadji, and Patrice Beaumelle to discuss his replacement.
Frenchman Renard was not present at the meeting and is said to be livid at the behaviour of the Moroccan Federation.
“I only knew about this meeting from my assistants after it ended,” Renard said.
He went on to say;
“It is a big sign for me that I wasn’t invited to such an important meeting, which discussed the future of Moroccan football. This will push me to think a lot about my future after the African Cup.”
The 50-year old coach’s contract with Morocco ends in 2022. Morocco play in Group D of the AFCON, they play against Ivory Coast, Namibia and South Africa.
