In an interview with Spanish lifestyle magazine, Elle Spain, Hiba Abouk opens up about her divorce from Paris Saint Germain’s Achraf Hakimi, following recent media reports. Abouk, who graces the cover of the May edition of the magazine spoke about the challenges she has faced as she tries to complete the divorce proceedings.
Hiba Abouk opens up, admitting that divorce is never an easy process and revealed that she considers her marriage with Hakimi to be a “failed project.” She also shared that she has tried everything to make it work with the Moroccan footballer, but ultimately they have decided to go their separate ways.
“There are days when it is like that, and others in which you have to know how to fit the blows and make decisions, sometimes complicated, get used to new situations … And that can unbalance you a bit, ” she tells Elle Magazine.
“For me the most important thing is the health of my children and everything else, really, takes a back seat,” she added.
In the wake of the divorce proceedings, there have been reports that Hakimi transferred his wealth to his mother’s name. “I’ve always been a fighter,” she says. “I left home with one hand in front and one behind. Without the support of my family. But I had to, because my environment was not going to allow me to grow or be free. It was either my life or theirs, and I decided to fight for myself.
“When you separate, you restructure your life, but it is also nothing special: you have to remove iron from the matter.”
