Hollywood mega film studios, Warner Bros is bringing the hit for the much anticipated ‘I Am Legend’ Sequel. Reports say the upcoming film will feature return lead star, Will Smith alongside Black Panther star, Micheal B. Jordan – the first collaboration between the two heavyweight Hollywood actors.
Although plot details are top secret right now, the Oscar winning filmmaker behind the first film, Akiva Goldsman is also retuning to produce and pen down the upcoming follow up. Reports also say the director for the sequel is yet to be confirmed, whether Francis Lawrence will make a return after the hit box office first film.
The film lead-actor, Will smith and his Westbrook studios Co-president, Jon Mone will produce along with Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo amongst others.
The original 2007 Horror/Sci-Film opened in theaters to an impressive $77.2M and then $256.4M domestically and $585.4M worldwide. The plot centered in a post-apocalyptic New York City and a scientist quest to reverse a virus birthing zombies.
Will Smith and Micheal B Jordan on the sequel should double the films success – as both actors have contributed to $12.3 billion in Hollywood’s box office.
Fans across the globe might have to wait a while longer cause there is still no exact release date, although expectations fall around late 2024 and early 2025.
