The 2024 Ondo State governorship election has ended, with the incumbent governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC), emerging victorious from a field of 18 candidates.
Aiyedatiwa secured 366,781 votes, triumphing over Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 117,845 votes. As the results were announced, a distinguished gathering of governors and dignitaries at the Banquet Hall of the Ondo State House erupted in celebration, their cheers filling the room in a moment of collective excitement and triumph.
