The official openings of two hospitals; Mwiki Hospital in Kasarani Constituency and Mihang’o Hospital in Embakasi East Constituency were presided over by President Kenyatta, who was in Nairobi for a working visit to Eastlands.
The level 3 hospitals are a component of the 28 similar healthcare facilities Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) built throughout the city in less than two years.
The government’s Big 4 development program includes the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) target, and the new levels 2 and 3 health facilities are a part of ongoing efforts to meet this goal.
At the Muhuri Muchiri Stadium in Ruai, President Kenyatta joined citizens of the Embakasi East and Kasarani Constituencies to oversee the distribution of 6,000 title deeds to various organisations, including those associated with the troubled Embakasi Ranching Company.
