The Mali Football Federation has released the list of players who will face Nigeria’s Super Eagles in the forthcoming international match in Marrakech, Morocco, according to BSNSports.com.ng.
The Eagles of Mali were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, and the federation sees the game against the Super Eagles as good preparation for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, which will commence in earnest.
The team released on Friday afternoon was primarily made up of players who had been on parade in Ivory Coast.
Mali has become a stronghold in African football, but they have yet to lift the prized AFCON championship.
The game versus Nigeria is scheduled for March 26th in Marrakech.
