Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dissolved the six-man war cabinet.
Netanyahu had announced the decision at a meeting of the political-security cabinet on Sunday.
Netanyahu’s coalition partners have been pushing for a new war cabinet to be established after the exit of Benny Gantz from the emergency government.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who have demanded Israel must continue its shelling of Gaza despite international calls for restraint had called for a new war cabinet to be formed which will include coalition party leaders.
