Nigerian comedian Chibuike Josh Alfred, also known as Josh2Funny, has shared his thoughts on the issue of competition in the Nigerian comedy and content-creating industry.
He described those who do not acknowledge competition in the abovementioned industry as deceptive.
Talking about his craft, the 33-year-old boasted that no one comes close to him in the comedy industry, emphasising that his skits are accepted worldwide and interpreted in foreign languages.
He criticised his colleagues who replicate his content, trends or styles without acknowledging him.
Speaking in a podcast, he said, “What I won’t take is for people to be copying what I initiated without crediting me. No, I won’t take that.
“Let nobody tell you that there’s no competition in the comedy industry. There’s competition…
“As we speak now, my comedy is interpreted in Mandarin, Hindi, Russian, French, and other languages. I’m not with you guys, bro. I’m not anybody’s mate in this comedy industry.”
