The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the Ivory Coast has accepted to host the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The new agreement with the Ivory Coast allows Cameroon, who were stripped of the right to stage this year’s event, to host the 2021 edition.

The decision was made after a meeting between CAF president Ahmad Ahmad and Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara, with Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) officials also in attendance.
