Popular Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan has just revealed he is in talks for a ‘Rush Hour 4’ film. At the recently concluded Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, The legendary martial arts star opened up that although the script isn’t right, they’re discussing the script for the latest installment of the action comedy franchise.

His recent statement about Rush Hour 4 is the most concrete information following so many rumours over the past years, without any confirmation. Recall that in 2017, He said he had agreed on a script; and then in 2019 posed with co-star Chris Tucker holding up four fingers. 

The first three films in the Warner Bros franchise, were all directed by Brett Ratner, who has not directed a film since allegations of sexual assault in 2017. As it stands, there’s no news on who would direct the forthcoming sequel but some tabloids have excited fans with news that former American professional boxer Mike Tyson will appear in the sequel.

Now 68-year old, Jackie Chan rose to critical acclaim with the Rush hour franchise and even earned an honorary Academy Award for his “extraordinary achievements” in film. Released in 1998, 2001 and 2007, the films raked in $244.4m, $347.3m, $258.1 respectively, making a total of $850m.
