JAMB Announces 2024 UTME Registration Fee Hike

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced a raise in the registration fees for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for the upcoming year.

According to an official statement posted on X by JAMB, registration fees for the 2024 UTME has been increased to Seven Thousand, Seven Hundred Naira Only, (N7,700 ) for UTME registration, which includes a mock examination.

However, UTME registration exclusive of the mock examination will cost Six Thousand Two Hundred Naira Only (N6,200) for candidates.

Prior to the fee hike, candidates paid the sum of Six Thousand Seven Hundred Naira (N6,700) for UTME inclusive of a mock examination, and Five Thousand Seven Hundred Naira (N5,700) without a mock exam.

In a thread on X, the Nigerian entrance examination board for tertiary-level institutions highlighted vital information regarding the UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Applications for the year 2024.

“This is to inform all prospective 2024 UTME/DE candidates that creation of Profiles for registration has officially started, while the sale of application documents would commence on Monday 15th January, 2024.

“You are to please take note of the following important dates for the coming UTME/DE exercise:
