The first son of Nigerian politician Jimi Agbaje, John Agbaje, is scheduled to be buried on Friday, June 7, 2024, in Canada.
The 41-year-old passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, in Canada. He is the son of the former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Lagos State and a chieftain of the Afenifere Renewal Group, Jimi Agbaje. John Agbaje reportedly died of cardiac arrest.
Agbaje disclosed that a special memorial service for his late son will be conducted in Lagos following the burial in Canada. When questioned about his son’s death, he remarked that he had entrusted the loss to God.
“His mother and I, indeed the entire extended family cannot describe our pains. The shock is still there but in all, we give in to the will of God. We cannot question God and we know He alone will help us to heal with time.”
