Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, by N65, lowering the price from N890 to N825 per litre. The new price takes effect from February 27, 2025.
According to Dangote, the adjustment aims to provide financial relief to Nigerians ahead of the Ramadan season while also aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery policies to ease the financial burden on citizens.
Dangote has consistently reduced the prices of petrol and other refined petroleum products. This latest cut marks the second reduction in February 2025, following a previous decrease of N60 earlier in the month. Similarly, during the December 2024 yuletide period, the refinery lowered PMS prices by N70.50, from N970 to N899.50 per litre, as part of its commitment to easing the cost of living during the festive season.
With this latest reduction, the refinery’s management has confirmed that Dangote petrol will be available at the following prices in partner retail outlets:
- MRS Holdings stations: N860 per litre in Lagos, N870 per litre in the South-West, N880 per litre in the North, and N890 per litre in the South-South and South-East.
- AP (Ardova Petroleum) and Heyden stations: N865 per litre in Lagos, N875 per litre in the South-West, N885 per litre in the North, and N895 per litre in the South-South and South-East.
The company has assured Nigerians of a stable supply of petroleum products, with sufficient reserves to meet domestic demand while also exporting surplus fuel to boost foreign exchange earnings.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery has called on marketers to support this initiative, ensuring that Nigerians benefit directly from the price reductions.
