The Edo State House of Assembly has officially impeached the Deputy Governor of the state, Philip Shaibu.
This decision was made on Monday, April 8, following the adoption of a report by a seven-man investigative panel set up by the Assembly to look into allegations of misconduct against Shaibu.
The impeachment of the deputy governor comes amidst ongoing political tensions in Edo state, particularly between Shaibu and his principal, Governor Godwin Obaseki.
