Meanwhile, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara congratulated Sanusi II on his reinstatement as the 14th Emir of Kano. In a statement issued in Port Harcourt, Fubara expressed great excitement over the news, especially since Sanusi II was in the state to support the administration’s initiative to reshape its economic trajectory.

The governor noted that Sanusi’s reinstatement by the Kano State government demonstrated that his dethronement on March 9, 2020, was against the wishes and aspirations of the people of Kano State. He commended the Kano State government for correcting past wrongs and urged the people to support Sanusi II.

Fubara wished the 14th Emir of Kano a successful and fruitful reign that would bring progress and prosperity to the people of Kano State.
